More Volunteer Opportunities :)

Make Contact With The School

We need someone to contact the school about getting an electronic copy of the AF Logo and also a class list for our year - it's possible they may even have contact information which would save a lot of time. I think that they should also have copies or photo record of the Elementary School, Middle School, and High School before rennovations and I think that would be nice to add to the video. All of this information should be kept at the district offices, I would assume.

Classmate Finder

We need someone good at detective work for this one. Once the list has been obtained by the person above an electronic copy of the list will be sent to you. If they are able to get contact information from the school, we will need to call the numbers they gave and get current contact information. This is so we can make sure all of our classmates know about the reunion and have the chance to attend.

Name, address, and e-mail contact would be ideal.

School Tours?
Another thought I had was to organize "tours" of each of the schools so that we can take a little walk down memory lane. I thought this might be a good thing to do Saturday before the Family Picnic. However, I don't want to put effort into coordinating it if there is not interest, so I need your comments and thoughts on this one.

Let's Get This Ball Rolling!

I know there are still several months before this even occurs, however I just need to do this when I can, and some of these things are going to take a large amount of time.

I could use some volunteers (with experience) for the following groups:

Music - Someone to put together a CD of music (from our "growing up" years, (I have never felt so old as when I just typed that), that we can listen to throughout that evening while we eat dinner and mingle.

Photo collection and scanning if needed.
(If you know how to use a scanner and you are really organized, this one is for you :))
Because we did not grow up in the digital camera era, our photos require scanning. This person would need to be willing to collect photos from people and scan them so that they can be used in a video montage.

Video Montage - This person would take the pics/video clips put them together to music. We will watch the video that evening, and if there is enough interest, we will make copies for people to purchase.

Now: What to include? I will give basic instructions right now so that if you have time through the Holidays, you can go through your pics.

Elementary: "Class" Photos. It would be nice to have a photo from each class (meaning K-4th)so that everyone is represented. It would be nice to also include pics that included school performance ie: kingergarten graduation.

Middle School: Pics that include more than one person and tell a little of the story of our middle school years. First thing that comes to mind is people at Taco Time, or the convenience store across the street - the "luxury" of the off campus pass.

High School: Homecoming group shots, floats, painting the rock, initiation pics, end of year parties, athletics, things of that type.

Current Photo: We, or I would like to gather a current photo of every member of the class. This can be a family pic, or individual pic, whichever you have and prefer.

Where to upload photos??
Now, here's a little more information to throw at you. I have created a Shutterfly account for uploading of photos. I created files for each time period so that the upload is organized and easier for the video montage person to put together.

You will need to sign in with my e-mail address kimberlyn74@gmail.com and then the password is "Reunion", and it is case sensitive. Once you do that they will pull up the account and you will see 4 albums, one for each of the categories mentioned above.

If you need help beyond that, first go to shutterfly help and if you don't get your answers - email me.

Now, if you are not tech savvy, don't worry, you can send the pics and have them scanned for you (as soon as we have a scanner volunteer) - information coming soon.
